Thisshore is a good place to learn and improve your aquaticskills. Caution should be taken during seasonal highsurf in the Summer. With tradewinds, Northeast winds blowing inshore 90percent of the year, watch out for the Portugueseman-of-war (stinging blue jelly-like fish - Physalia) ;they can pose a problem for beach-goers. THE WESTSHORE -- This coast is more arid than theWindward coast and has many excellent beaches. This coast isknown for its great offshore fishing spots.
