Nearby Activities Ironwood Hills a private 9-hole layout built in 1928 as a recreation facility for the Scottish plantation workers. The course was actually cut out of the cypress and Ironwood forest on the upper slopes of Molokai in a little over 3 months. In 1990 the course underwent a redesign and the length was increased to the present range. From here the view of Molokai and the outer islands is breathtaking. The refurbished Kaluakoi golf course alongside the ocean reopened January 1, 2003.
