I found myself craving for the "local Hawaiian food" I left behind. Every chance I have, I return home and the first thing I do is eat at my favorite local Hawaiian restaurants. The cultural mix in Hawaii is amazing. The Hawaiians, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Filipinos, Thai and the Koreans all have made valuable contributions to Hawaii's multicultural society. And because we have this Asian and Polynesian blend, Hawaii has become a "gathering place" for chefs to practice their craft. The festive culinary possibilities are endless. But, nobody can argue, home-cooked meals are the best. Most people would have to agree that their favorite foods are the ones that mom and dad would make for them at home. They bring happy memories back to us when we eat them. After seeing this coast we then cruise across the channel to the island of Niihau. When we arrive at Niihau we sightsee for a while, then choose our snorkel spot! Our caring crew will assist and instruct you in snorkeling; relax, float, and watch the comings and goings of the aquatic world. No other place in Hawaii offers you such unique formations. Niihaus " old" age means it has been shaped and carved by ocean currents and waves the longest. If you are lucky you might see one of the Hawaiian Monk seals that inhabit this area! Their curiosity and grace will amaze even the most experienced individuals. After snorkeling we will have lunch waiting for you. We offer a full buffet-style lunch with your choice of deli meats, cheeses, and of course all the fixings for a sandwich work of art. We also have pasta, potato salad, fresh island fruits, and veggie-wraps to round out your meal. While you are eating we talk story about the island, the people and history of Niihau and Kauai. We have all taken great pains to ensure accurate and interesting information to pass along to you. When you have rested and relaxed, we will then head back across the channel to Kauai and home. Waikiki Ballroom: The Waikiki Ballroom, with 3,993 square feet of space, can accommodate groups up to 375 set theater-style and up to 340 for a formal banquet. This ballroom is located on the third floor of the Paoakalani Tower. Both ballrooms are equipped with doors able to open out to pre-function space or open-air lanais. Each ballroom may be separated into three sections with partitioning walls. Leahi Ballroom: The Leahi Ballroom is 4,481 square feet and can accommodate 650 set theater-style and as many as 400 for a formal banquet. This ballroom is located on the second floor of the Kealohilani Tower and has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful beach at Waikiki. Meeting Rooms: Seven meeting rooms accommodate groups from 30 to 200 people each. Perfect for more intimate gatherings, these rooms vary in square footage. Outdoor Facilities: Waikiki Terrace, with 4,500 square feet, can accommodate 400 for a reception. It is located poolside on the third floor of the Paoakalani Tower. Moana Terrace is located poolside, on the third floor of the Kealohilani Tower. The terrace offers a unique opportunity for functions to take advantage of Hawaiis tropical climate. The terrace's 20,000 square feet is perfect for groups of up to 1,000. Pualeilani Terrace, located on the third floor of the Kealohilani Tower and adjacent to the Moana Terrace, offers over 7,900 square feet of outdoor function space for meetings, banquets or special functions.
