Best bets include kalbi (short ribs), bulgogi (barbecue beef), katsu and lau lau (smoky slow-roasted and shredded pork).Noodle soups, called saimin, are worth a try too, and if you're brave, check out the brick-size musubi -- a Hawaiian spin on sushi (giant rice cake and nori) wrapped with meat or fish.
