The ship is in the middle of a 14-day cruise that terminates in San Diego this weekend. However, the Infinity's propulsion system developed problems and will go in for replacement when it calls at San Diego. Passengers booked on the Hawaii cruise will get a full refund of charges and a free Celebrity cruise of 10 days or less to be used within a year. Travel agents will get a $50 commission for rebooking a customer. Celebrity Cruises' parent Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said the cancellation would cause a 3- to 4-cent decrease in the company's earnings.
