Waikiki Ballroom: The Waikiki Ballroom, with 3,993 square feet of space, can accommodate groups up to 375 set theater-style and up to 340 for a formal banquet. This ballroom is located on the third floor of the Paoakalani Tower. Both ballrooms are equipped with doors able to open out to pre-function space or open-air lanais. Each ballroom may be separated into three sections with partitioning walls. Leahi Ballroom: The Leahi Ballroom is 4,481 square feet and can accommodate 650 set theater-style and as many as 400 for a formal banquet. This ballroom is located on the second floor of the Kealohilani Tower and has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful beach at Waikiki. Meeting Rooms: Seven meeting rooms accommodate groups from 30 to 200 people each. Perfect for more intimate gatherings, these rooms vary in square footage. Outdoor Facilities: Waikiki Terrace, with 4,500 square feet, can accommodate 400 for a reception. It is located poolside on the third floor of the Paoakalani Tower. Moana Terrace is located poolside, on the third floor of the Kealohilani Tower. The terrace offers a unique opportunity for functions to take advantage of Hawaiis tropical climate. The terrace's 20,000 square feet is perfect for groups of up to 1,000. Pualeilani Terrace, located on the third floor of the Kealohilani Tower and adjacent to the Moana Terrace, offers over 7,900 square feet of outdoor function space for meetings, banquets or special functions. Hawaii is one of the world's most popular destinations, offering the quintessential vacation thanks to the combination of varied tropical natural beauty, great weather, warm water, and the amenities of a USA state. The Hawaiian Islands are a group of volcanos that have risen up over a "hot spot" of molten rock that wells up from deep in the earth's interior. As the ocean floor slowly moves over this spot, islands are born. They are then carried towards the northwest. The chain of Hawaiian islands were formed in the order: Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Hawaii. Because of this age difference, each of the Hawaiian islands exhibits a distinct character. The younger island, Hawaii, has the highest summit and active volcanic features, but relatively smooth topology, like all the islands had when they rose out of the sea. Much of it is relatively arid and covered in bare lava fields. The oldest island, Kauai, has dramatic scenery formed by erosion, and the lushest vegetation. The other Hawaiian islands are in between, with Oahu having more fluted eroded mountains than Maui, where the dormant crater is younger and higher, and could still spring back to life. Windsurfing Schools on Maui Maui's Windsurfing Schools Get a Clew! Windsurfing lessons are fun! Honing your windsurfing skills is fun and invigorating if you've got the right conditions. I mean, why freeze yer butt off and thrash around in polluted waters when you can fall in hundreds of times in the cushy waters of paradise. Maui's warm water, and consistent winds make for the most user friendly sailing on the planet. These days, windsurfing instructors are finely tuned in the art of getting you where you want to be. (sailing along with the wind) All the schools here have competent, expert instructors who have seen it all. (you wont be embarrassed by anyone, just helped) You'll probably have a limited time on Maui, so lessons are the smart money for taking advantage of the sailing days you have here. WW: : Kanaha Beach Park and Kihei SBM: Kanaha or Kihei CL: : Lessons are generally conducted at Kanaha Beach. However, we also teach on the south shore when the wind is better there. CL also teaches small groups at sites which are convenient for that particular group. For instance, we can easily send an instructor up to a beach front property near Spreckelsville if that works best for our customers. Our wavesailing and looping classes are taught wherever conditions are best. our school and instructors are completely mobile in order to better serve our clientele. SW: Our school is based at Kanaha Beach Park, Maui's most popularwindsurfing beach. At Kanaha, we can teach all levels from beginner towavesailor in one day. We also travel to Kihei on the south shore when thewinds are right. Private lessons are conducted at any of the best known(and not so well known) locations around Maui's shoreline. KW: Kaanapali Beach HST: Kanaha Beach, Kihei and private homes on the north shore.
